It seems Kevin Durant enjoyed ESPN’s “First Take” on Tuesday.
The Nets star reveled in Television set nemesis Stephen A. Smith receiving warmth for questioning Russell Westbrook’s overall look at new Lakers mentor Darvin Ham’s introductory push convention on Monday.
Steve cannot beat up on max Kellerman the boxing man and the new baseball guy “mad dog” or no matter what his title is?” Durant tweeted on Tuesday night time. “I’m locked in now.”
Smith had his “First Take” cohost Max Kellerman ousted in favor of a rotating panel of guests together with former WFAN identity Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, heard it from JJ Redick and CJ McCollum more than his Westbrook thought.
“Him getting at that push meeting yesterday — really to me — I didn’t like it,” Smith said, devoid of giving significantly in the way of reasoning.
“You explained a random, random just take, and then you stated a bunch of things about Russell Westbrook that experienced nothing about that get,” Redick responded. “What is your issue with Russell Westbrook remaining at that push conference?”
“That’s a wild point for you to say,” McCollum included. “Him supporting his crew, his organization, his coach, a fellow African American gentleman that will get employed by the Los Angeles Lakers? This is what you stated! … You claimed that him heading to the push meeting, you’re unhappy in that? Operate the tape. We received the tape. That is what you claimed. … Even if you didn’t imply it the way I mentioned it, you stated that he shouldn’t have been at that press meeting, that’s foul.”
Smith went on to say the Lakers’ discussion of relocating Westbrook intended he should not have absent to Ham’s presser.
Redick and McCollum piling on to Smith was clearly a delight for Durant, who has continually feuded with the ESPN conversing head. Most lately, Durant took a shot at Smith — through Fox’s Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe — for boasting Michael Jordan changed the recreation of basketball for the even worse.
“My concept is that guys like Steve, Skip [Bayless] and Shannon [Sharpe] have improved the match for the even worse,” Durant tweeted on June 2. “Playas like Stephen [Curry] and Michael can only force the activity ahead.”
