I almost didn't get 'Teen Wolf' over gay mag

Colton Haynes just about misplaced out on his “Teen Wolf” purpose.

Haynes recalled one occasion soon after auditioning for the exhibit — which ran from 2011 to 2017 — of his manager telling him that showrunner Jeff Davis experienced to struggle for him to be on the display.

“The head of MTV pretty much didn’t employ the service of you for the reason that of that XY photo shoot we have been doing work our asses off to extinguish. Thank God Jeff fought for you to get that part,” Haynes reported his supervisor instructed him.

MTV did not straight away answer to The Post’s request for remark.

In accordance to the actor, he had done the photoshoot with his then-boyfriend Jay and put in “years sending cease-and-desist letters to everybody who posted my XY shoot.”

“Jeff was the creator of ‘Teen Wolf,’ and he had certainly fought for me I was grateful to him, and eager not to f–k up the chance,” Haynes wrote in his memoir, which was unveiled Tuesday.

Past year, Haynes posted the XY with a heartfelt message about keeping legitimate to oneself.

“I’ve in no way posted this picture before,” he wrote. “In point, I used a huge aspect of my career trying to erase it from the world-wide-web when I was continue to in the closet. Partly due to the fact so many ppl in Hollywood explained to me I would in no way operate as an openly gay actor, but portion of it was simply because I was extremely ashamed.”

He ongoing: “It created me sad to see these pictures I had taken as a teenage model…before I was put with voice & movement coaches to straighten me up for the cameras…before I discovered to see my queerness as a legal responsibility. I was jealous of him. The boy in these pictures was so open, so cost-free. He experienced to be taught that it wasn’t alright to be who he was.”

He also incorporated a concept to fans in honor of Satisfaction month.
