Kelsey Wingert, a reporter for the Rockies, is on the mend just after she “took a 95 mph line drive” to the brow in Colorado’s 7-6 decline to the San Francisco Giants on Monday.
Wingert took to Twitter on Wednesday soon after she was treated at a healthcare facility pursuing the hit, and shared a photograph of a vertical gash in the middle of her brow that was stitched up.
“Checking in – Monday, I took a 95 MPH line drive to my head,” Wingert tweeted. “The @Rockies & @ATTSportsNetRM have taken care of me like loved ones. Getting me treatment method & to the ideal healthcare facility ASAP. I was at medical center for 5 several hours w/ David Woodman (GM of AT&T SN), his spouse, Paula & my producer Alison Vigil.”
In a follow-up tweet, Wingert shared that she had a CT scan to look at for internal bleeding and fractures, which arrived again obvious.
“Thank God. I obtained inner & exterior stitches. I have been keeping at my GM’s home,” the reporter tweeted. “I simply cannot say more than enough about AT&TSN & the Rox. I have under no circumstances professional assistance like this. Thank you for the prayers.”
After staying hit with the foul ball, Wingert was seen standing though she acquired professional medical interest in the Rockies’ dugout.
On Monday, AT&T SportsNet in Colorado tweeted, “Reporter @KelsWingert was strike by a foul ball during Monday’s Rockies activity. Kelsey promptly been given health care interest and we’re happy to share that she’s carrying out perfectly underneath the circumstances. Wingert has been a trooper throughout her MLB profession. In 2018, she endured a fractured eye socket following staying strike with a foul ball though functioning as a sideline reporter for the Atlanta Braves and Fox Athletics South.
Right after Monday’s reduction to the Giants, the Rockies fell to San Fransisco 10-7 on Tuesday. Colorado arrived back again to beat the Giants 5-3 on Wednesday.
