President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, has once again confirmed his enthusiasm for the growth of sports in the country by donating trophies and medals for the volleyball event of the sixth Lagos Inter-Colleges Sporting activities Fiesta, which will start off on May 31.
Speaking in the course of the presentation of products to the organisers, Nimrod counseled them for using volleyball to colleges, including that athletics growth must start from the grassroots.
“For volleyball to improve, we want to focus a lot more on grassroots and our faculties is the best place to commence. We, at the federation, are prepared to aid volleyball at grassroots level since this will enable us discover potential gamers, who will replace the ageing ones.
“We are pleased with what Wonderland Sporting activities is performing and you can see that it is a programme we need to all support, specially given that this programmme is endorsed by Lagos State governing administration via the Sports activities Commission,” he said.
The Volleyball Federation president charged other sports activities federations and corporate bodies to help Wonderland Sports’ endeavours to unearth youthful skills from the grassroots.
