Connor McDavid may possibly have shipped a thrilling finish to the Oilers’ second-spherical playoff series, but it seems some of the internet’s consideration was directed elsewhere on Thursday evening.
With Edmonton a single gain absent from advancing to the Western Convention Finals, some of the Calgary Flames’ most significant lovers invaded Scotiabank Saddledome for Game 5, together with a group of products, who were seated directly driving the Oilers’ bench.
Throughout the sport, the lively group was observed cheering, with one product glancing in the way of Oilers mentor Jay Woodcroft. While Woodcroft appeared to retain his attention on the ice, Twitter was zoned in on the motion getting spot powering him.
“Definitely some interruptions driving the Oilers bench,” a person person remarked even though one more said, “Ummm… there are apparently some ladies behind the Oilers bench…”
A different Twitter user speculated if the Flames orchestrated the seating preparations.
“Did the #Flames plant all those chickadees powering the #Oilers bench to attempt & distract them? Also. Is it doing the job?!” the user commented.
It would seem the Oilers did not find the models’ presence a distraction, as McDavid put the recreation away in additional time with the game-successful aim.
The Oilers will face the winner of the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues series, with their Video game 6 having underway Friday night. The Avalanche at this time prospects the collection, 3-2.
