Mets’ opener vs. Rockies postponed with snow coming

As New York dusts off its flip-flops and grills for a weekend heat wave, the Mets need to hope they packed their wintertime jackets.

The Mets’ sport in Denver on Friday was postponed mainly because of equally rain and snow in the forecast.

The Mets and Rockies will perform a split doubleheader Saturday commencing at 3:10 p.m. The next video game will be at 8:40 p.m.

The Mets had Carlos Carrasco scheduled to pitch Friday, so he probably will get the ball in a single recreation Saturday. David Peterson is most likely to start off the other activity.

It will be the Mets’ fifth doubleheader of the year and fourth in Could.
