Kevin Garnett has perused the checklist of coaching finalists for the Los Angeles Lakers, and he is not amazed.
The Lakers have reportedly narrowed down their coaching look for to Bucks assistant Darvin Ham, Warriors assistant and previous Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson and previous Trail Blazers head mentor Terry Stotts.
Putting up on his Instagram tale, Garnett wrote, “Man are the Lakers serious? They not really serious about hoping to improved the problem with that record of coaches.”
The NBA Corridor of Famer continued to opine on the listing of candidates who could perhaps switch the fired Frank Vogel.
“FOH [get the f–k out of here],” he additional. “They significant? Nah they not really serious! They critical.”
There are also rumors in NBA circles that Doc Rivers, who gained an NBA championship in 2008 with Garnett on the crew, is a shadow prospect even with the 76ers retaining Rivers after the crew collapsed in the playoffs.
Writing on his Substack Monday, veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein said that the Lakers have not “abandoned hope” that they could land Rivers in a offer with the Sixers.
Maybe that would be a use that would meet Garnett’s plainly-lofty standards.
