NHL legend Jaromir Jagr “thought it was my end” following he was involved in a car crash with a tram in his household country of the Czech Republic, he wrote Wednesday in a write-up on Instagram.
The 50-yr-old Jagr wrote that he “climbed out” of his car unhurt immediately after the crash, and explained “nothing took place to the travellers on the tram.”
Jagr went on to choose blame for the crash.
“It was my fault,” he wrote. “On Plzeňská, I tried out to cross from one particular way to a different. I checked the other aspect and drove into it at the right time. But there was a great deal of visitors and I didn’t have time to respond to the tram, which was likely at substantial pace in the similar direction as me.”
A Czech information web page described Jagr somewhat hurt a person of his fingers and was observed limping while leaving an ambulance. He also refused to go to a hospital. Alcohol checks had been reportedly adverse.
In his publish on Tuesday, Jagr wrote that he would like to shift on from the “sad celebration,” and thanked “everyone for their understanding and also for their assist to those who intervened on the place.”
That very same working day, Jagr shared a different Instagram put up indicating his return for one more pro hockey period with his hometown crew, the Kladno Knights — a Czech Extraliga group he also owns.
“I know some of you won’t believe that it, but I’m genuinely searching ahead to the subsequent season,” Jagr wrote, like a closeup image of him on the ice. “How do you look forward to it? Pleky [Tomáš Plekanec] has a aspiration to play playoff with Kladno, will we consider to satisfy it jointly?”
Jagr performed 24 seasons in the NHL, scoring 766 aims and tallying 1,921 details across 9 groups, which includes the Penguins, Rangers and Devils.
