For Bobby Brown, it was “love at initial sight” when he satisfied Whitney Houston backstage at the 1989 “Soul Educate Songs Awards.”
But evidently, the “My Prerogative” singer and the late pop celebrity also experienced the greatest lust of all.
“Me and Whitney’s sexual intercourse existence was really extreme,” suggests the R&B crooner in the new documentary “Biography: Bobby Brown,” which premieres on A&E Monday and Tuesday evenings. “It didn’t subject wherever we were. It was about a certain look, and she seemed at me a particular way. It was on and poppin’.”
Brown, 53, states that he was hooked on Houston’s scent as effectively as her eyes. “There was a little something about her eyes that built me soften inside,” he states. “Just the way she appeared at me from Working day 1 until the previous day we ended up collectively, it was always special.”
Describing Houston as “the love of my existence,” Brown suggests, “She was just the kindest, sweetest person that I understood.”
But on their wedding day day on July 18, 1992, Brown was stunned to find another facet of Houston.
“I walked in and, um, saw her carrying out a line of coke. It was a shocker to me seeing her sniff for the 1st time,” he reveals.
“I think that was when I understood that we had a lot more in common than I believed. I was new to it, and I guess she experienced been executing it for a whilst.”
In addition to material abuse on equally their components, there ended up issues about Houston’s longtime assistant — and former lover — Robyn Crawford.
“I didn’t know that Whitney’s marriage was additional than just buddies until finally later on on in our relationship,” suggests Brown. “I imagine our marriage was expanding, and there was no area for a third particular person in our relationship.”
