Composer Vangelis, of 'Chariots Of Fire' soundtrack, dead at 79

Vangelis, best known for the “Chariots Of Fire’” and “Blade Runner” soundtracks, is lifeless. He was 79.

A rep for the composer explained to The Guardian that he died at a hospital in France. It is mysterious what he was becoming dealt with for.

Born in Greece, Evangelos Odessey Papathanassiou grew to become a lot more perfectly regarded to the planet as Vangelis. He went on to create the scores for “Antarctica,” “The Bounty” and “Alexander.”

But the “Chariots” concept tune, which reached the prime of the American Billboard Incredibly hot 100 chart in 1991, grew to become his most renowned work.
