New Jersey couple sues Dunkin' over hot-coffee burns

America could run on Dunkin’ but a New Jersey person and his spouse are racing to court docket after he was allegedly burned by a scorching cup of coffee from the java joint.

Evan Arlington and Stephanie Arlington-Macias bought two cups of espresso and an iced espresso from a Totowa Dunkin’ Donuts on Aug. 25, 2021, according to an April 4 lawsuit they filed in Passaic County.

Arlington endured second- and third-diploma burns following the espresso spilled in his lap at the travel-via, mentioned the couple’s legal professional, William Gold.

Arlington experienced professional medical expenses, though Arlington-Macias, 37, experienced “a loss of her husband’s assist, consolation, conjugal fellowship and consortium,” they claim in the legal submitting.

The pair are searching for unspecified damages. Dunkin’ Donuts did not return a message.
