Organisers of the boys’ U-13 JOF Young ones Cup soccer tournament have mounted May 1 for the closing. The party holds at the Campos Mini Stadium, Ajele, Lagos Island.
The level of competition, which kicked off on March 5, with its preliminary rounds played throughout numerous centres in Lagos, is its third version.
Income prizes of N350,000, N250,000 N200,000 and N150,000 have been introduced for the winner, very first runner-up, second runner-up and fourth-positioned teams respectively.
Speaking at the unveiling of trophies ceremony, the Director, Strategic Aid Providers, JOF Nigeria Restricted, Adeyinka Adetunji, who spoke on behalf of the Chief Government Officer of the organization, Dr. Olusegun Olugboyegun, claimed the annually competition was remaining organised to encourage the advancement of football at the grassroots and to enable uncover talents between the youths in the state.
“We thank the Lagos Point out Grassroots Soccer Association who are the organisers for giving JOF Nigeria Constrained the prospect to sponsor this sensitive competitiveness.
“We enjoy youth initiatives and contributions to the progress of activity and discovery of young soccer abilities and with the potential clients of bringing glory to their households and region in the long term,” he reported.
He included, “For us in JOF Nigeria, we would like to continue to really encourage, aid and showcase this type of constructive youth party in our region.
“We have also manufactured provisions to reward some unique players, who will distinguish themselves in the course of the event. We stimulate all the contributors to make it possible for the spirit of good play to guide them in the remaining matches top to the ultimate,” he mentioned.
